Author! Author!

A rich blend of warmth and humor sets the pace for delightful comedy Aurthor Aurthor. Al Pacino gives a grandiose performance as Ivan Travalian, a struggling playwright with a very unusual home life. His wife Gloria (Tuesday Weld) has left him for another man, leaving Ivan with their son and four other children from her previous marriages. His struggles at parenting are only temporarily relieved by his new love interest (Dyan Cannon) who is more concerned with the social scene than staying at home with his kids. Under Arthur Hiller's incisive direction, Ivan's tremendous rapport with the five youths is tenderly examined as he diligently learns to master the fine art of fatherhood
