True Confessions

Msgr. Des Spellacy (De Niro), a rising star in the church hierarchy, has more of a talent for fund raising than saving souls. When his brother Tom (Duvall), a hardened L.A. cop, believes that the prime suspect in the grisly murder of a prostitute is one of the church's prime benefactors, Des decides to meddle with the investigation - with disastrous results.
