Scarecrow

Max (Gene Hackman) is an ex-con with a bad temper and a dream: to open his own car wash in Pittsburgh. Leon (Al Pacino) is an ex-seaman on his way to Detroit to see the wife and child he ran out on six years before. They're a couple of born losers - and their story will win your heart. Like castaways, they take each day as it comes, reading signs in the wind and vaguely waiting for their ship to come in. And like castaways, too, they form a tentative, strengthening, finally unbreakable bond of friendship.
