Dog Day Afternoon

On a blistering Brooklyn afternoon, two optimistic losers set out to rob a bank. Sonny (Al Pacino), whose frantic brain can race for hours with out reaching a conclusion, is the mastermind. Slow-witted Sal (John Cazale) is the follower. And disaster is result. Because the cops arrive. The crowds arrive. The TV cameras Arrive. Even the pizza man arrives. The heist turns into a circus. And as Sonny and Sal's notoriety grows, their chance for survival shrinks.
